Political system in China
The political system in China is conducted under "the leadership of the Communist Party."

The actual election at the local, town, provincial and national levels are conducted democratically, using a hierarchical system.

At the local election, all citizens are allowed to vote and to contest the election. This right is not restricted to members of the communities party.

The elected leaders at each level in turn elect the leaders at the next higher level in the hierarchy. This continues until the national level.

The hierarchical system encourages the election of candidates based on their capability and not on party politics, campaigning and appeals to populism.

The leadership of the Communist Party is written into the constitution of China, but the constitution also requires the party to work towards the goal of improving the living standards of the people.

Over the past decades, the party has achieved this goal and won the support of the people.

The political system in China had produced rampant corruption in the past, but this has been largely eradicated in the past decade. The political system in other countries also have their own types of corruption and in most of these countries, the corruption was endemic and not solved.

China does not have a perfect political system, but the system works better than the democracy adopted by most other countries.
