Here is my advice to people who post comments.

1. Focus on the topic and not the person, i.e. do not be personal
2. Be respectful. If you have a different opinion, do not presume that your opinion is right.
3. Read and understand the writer's opinion, before commenting on it.
4. Do not presume what the writer did not say.

If you break one or more of these rules, expect your comment to be deleted for being personal, rude or arrogant. If you misbehave often, you will be banned as "an idiot".
