Tan Kin Lian - Perspectives Renewal of Long Term Visit Pass
My friend E helped his elderly partner L to apply for a long term visit pass for L's Vietnamese wife. The government approved the LTVP for one year. 

When E helped L to apply for the renewal of the pass, the authority required him to submit all the documents again. It was quite troublesome to provide the documents. The authority already got the documents from the initial application. Why do they require the same documents to be submitted again? This is troublesome to the applicant and also require more work from the authority's staff to process the documents again. 

I agree with E. My view is that many of the processes in our government departments are badly designed and are bad for the people and for the bureaucracy.
