Competition between opposing political partie
Here are my views.

The competition between opposing political parties to run the government appears to have negative impacts in most "democratic countries".

The opposing parties spent too much energy to fight each other and to win the election (often by unfair means) to remain in power.

The underlying problems of the country are not attended to.

This appears to be the pattern in many countries.

The opposition in Singapore did not appear to make the ruling party run the country better. In fact, they appear to make the ruling party perform worse.

Furthermore, it does not make sense to ask the people to select the people to form the government. Usually, the people make bad choices.
Is there a better way?

We need to open our eyes and our minds to find a better way. We should not be blinded by "ideology" or the misconception that the "democratic process" will lead to better government.
