Political systems Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China
China is able to make remarkable progress over the past three decades and longer. The China media often described the progress as being made "under the leadership of the Communist Party of China". The western media has criticized this system as being undemocratic.

I hold a different view.

The one party system ensures that the selection of leaders are done by people who are knowledgeable about the economic and social conditions of the country and the needs of the people. The CCP has more than 80 million members, who form over 6% of the population of China.

Within the party, the election of leaders are based on democracy and meritocracy.

This is a better system compared to the multi party system in democratic countries that has brought about instability, conflict and inter party politicking.
