Here are some suggestions to improve trading volume in the Singapore Exchange:

a) Get rid of the MAS mandated test of financial literacy. Most people who want to trade in shares know that they have to face a risk. 

b) Reintroduce the Teletext format for the live display in prices in the TV. It should cost very little for SGX to provide this information to reach out to the older people.

c) Disallow shady companies from being listed in SGX. They can be taken advantage of by the majority shareholders.
