Insane to use CorpPass
I am registered as the director of a company and is responsible to provide many forms and returns to government agencies. If I fail to do so, the government can impose a penalty on me, or even send me to jail.

A few years ago, they introduced the CorpPass and require me to register a CorpPass ID, password, 2FA and also to appoint myself (or somebody else) to carry out the functions.

It was confusing.

To make matters worse, the website was buggy and the registration failed to go through. I must have spent several hours to sort out this process.

For the next few years, I keep getting confused whenever I have to submit any form or return to the government.

Finally, the government decides that CorpPass is not necessary and ask me to revert to my SingPass. This was the case earlier, before the CorpPass was introduced.

I am speaking form the perspective of a small business owner who has to submit forms and returns to the government. To require every business to create a CorpPass account for each authorised person is insane!

In the case of a large organization, it is necessary for the person in charge, i.e. director or CEO, to appoint a staff to carry out the functions. This could be done easily by a simple authorization, i.e. Mr. X appoint Mr Y to do the specified functions.

There was no need to force the complication to every business owner, who does not run a big organization with several hundred staffs.

We need experienced and practical people to design systems and processes, rather than leave the matter to inexperienced people (with impressive paper qualifications) to handle this task.
