CorpPass was unnecessary and troublesome
When the government agency introduced CorpPass several years ago, I gave my feedback that it was unnecessary and troublesome.

It required a complicated process to register the people who are authorised to transact on behalf of a corporation and to use login with a separate CorpPass ID, password and 2FA.

It was already difficult to manage the SingPass (although the process was simplifed later). Why create another layer of complication and require the corporates to maintain a separate set of accounts for employees to login?

A simpler approach was for the corporate to designed the SingPass of the employees who are authorised to submit actions on behalf of the corporate. In most organizations, it will be a senior manager or director.

The government agency replied to me to explain the need and benefit of using a separate CorpPass. Their explanation was illogical. They were not ready to consider the real situation or to understand my concern. They just wanted to justify their decision (which was bad and illogical).

Anyway, after several years, they have now realized their mistake. But it took them several years to find out. They have now decided to remove CorpPass and allow SingPass to be used.

It is better late than never.

But I hope that this government learn the lesson to be inclusive and to engage the public who gives feedback to them.
